Who are we?

CVS Inverness stands for Council for Voluntary Services for Inverness.
We are based in the city of Inverness, but serve voluntary organisations in all of Inverness-Shire.

We are an independent charity organisation supporting the development of the community and voluntary sector locally.

We are committed to equal opportunities and to making our services relevant and accessible to all local organisations.

CVS Inverness is a new organisation which currently employs two members of staff,
Anne Angus and David Weaver.

As CEO, Anne is responsible for the running of the organisation and providing assistance to members.

As Development Officer, David is responsible for providing assistance to members – voluntary organisations throughout Inverness-Shire.

Our Core Activities :

CVS Inverness purpose is

  • to support voluntary sector to grow and develop from a strong and robust foundation
  • to promote the voice of voluntary sector organisations so that they are heard and are active partners in changing communities for the better
  • to respond to change, delivering quality services to meet local need and manages its services effectively
  • to draw strength from its membership and influence national policy

We want Voluntary Sector to be a thriving community and we want to connect with the appropriate partners and agencies.
